Society vs. My Thoughts

This is my first blog post. YAY. How privileged are you all right now as your reading this? Yep. That's right SUPER privileged. It will probably change your attitude for the day and the world around you. That is my hope!

In my class at Brigham Young University Idaho, we are studying about relationships in the family and the important roles that take place. I have decided to write a few of my thoughts about it to you guys and I hope you will comment, like, and enjoy what I have to say!!

ALLright. So this past week, I have gained a lot of knowledge about marriage and the trends in today's world.  It is a lot less complicated then it needs to be honestly. If two people love each other enough to spend the rest of forever taking care of each other, then they will have a successful marriage, I think! The society thinks that two people have to be completely and perfectly in love with each other in order for it to work out. The data shown on divorce rates is insane! The society to day says that half of ALL marriages end in divorce. I think that is not all true. Divorce has to do with many factors. When two people decide to spend the rest of their life together, they have to realize some things:
  • They need to make room for compromising
  • Help their spouse feel confident (that can tie into emotional abuse)
  • Understand that no one is perfect and that by forgiving and forgetting will help solve some problems

If two people can't resolve an issue between them and they are really trying for years and years, then I feel like a divorce is appropriate. But my opinion on this statement is that it is a myth. Divorce is becoming more popular because people often view it as the solution. However, I think that we can solve any problem with the help of our Heavenly Father. Also, marriage counseling is a good option too.  I am eternally grateful for the opportunity we have in our lived to be ABLE to fall in love. But if that relationship isn't nurtered then yes, it could fall apart easily.

NEW SUBJECT: Now society also has a way of thinking about how families should be. They like to paint the picture of a perfect set up: Mom, Dad, and 2 kids (most likely a boy and a girl). But in my head, my thoughts are a little different. Not one family in this world is perfect. We all have our quirks and bad moments. But my view about the family is that it comes from God. I know that we have our family for a reason and we are here to help each other grow and be happy together! The family is very important in the role of society. The bigger the family the more people there are in this world to help us out! It is a good thing that we have big families. They are like powerhouses for the Human Capital. *side note: Human Capital is basically all the resources and supplies that we use in the world.* Anyways, that is why the family is so important.
If you have a big family BE PROUD! It is a good thing! You're so lucky to have a large group of friends and cheerleaders who love you. And those of you that might be the only child, well just remember that you can have as many kids as you want!

*Anyways, that's all from the inside of me today, I hope you all enjoy what I wrote! Please comment I'd love to hear what you all think!
