“And, finally, we hear Him as we heed the words of prophets, seers, and revelators. Ordained Apostles of Jesus Christ always testify of Him. They point the way as we make our way through the heart-wrenching maze of our mortal experiences.” Russell M. Nelson, “Hear Him”, April 2020 General Conference
"It is important to remember that while we revere Joseph Smith as a prophet of God, this is not the church of Joseph Smith, nor is it the church of Mormon. This is the Church of Jesus Christ.” Russell M. Nelson, “Opening the Heavens for Help”, April 2020 General Conference
"For the fruit of the gospel to blossom and bless our lives, we must be attached to Him, the Savior of us all.” Jeffery R. Holland, “Abide in Me”, April 2004 General Conference
“Everything that is learned and all that is done in the temple emphasizes the divinity of Jesus Christ and His role in Heavenly Father's great plan of happiness.” David A. Bednar, “Let this House be Built Upon my Name”, April 2020 General Conference
“Because of His Atonement, the Savior has the power to succor—to help—every mortal pain and affliction.” Dallin H. Oaks, “Strengthened by the Atonement of Jesus Christ”, October 2015 General Conference
“Nevertheless, an accumulation of all of the guilt, the grief and sorrow, the pain and humiliation, all of the mental, emotional, and physical torments known to man—He experienced them all.” Dallin H. Oaks, “Strengthened by the Atonement of Jesus Christ”, October 2015 General Conference
"We need grace both to overcome sinful weeds and to grow divine flowers. We can do neither one fully by ourselves. But grace is not cheap. It is very expensive, even very dear. How much does this grace cost? Is it enough simply to believe in Christ? The man who found the pearl of great price gave “all that he had”12 for it. If we desire “all that [the] Father hath,”13 God asks all that we have. To qualify for such exquisite treasure, in whatever way is ours, we must give the way Christ gave—every drop He had: “How exquisite you know not, yea, how hard to bear you know not.”14 Paul said, “If so be that we suffer with him,” we are “joint-heirs with Christ.”15 All of His heart, all of our hearts." Elder Bruce C. Hafen, "The Atonement: All in All", April 2004 General Conference
"A wife who encouraged her husband despite his years of weakness, until the seeds of repentance finally sprouted in his heart. She said, “I tried to look at him the way Christ would look at me.” Elder Bruce C. Hafen, "The Atonement: All in All, April 2004 General Conference
"And hanging in the balance was the Atonement. Through His willing act, mercy and justice could be reconciled, eternal law sustained, and that mediation achieved without which mortal man could not be redeemed. He, by choice, accepted the penalty for all mankind for the sum total of all wickedness and depravity; for brutality, immorality, perversion, and corruption; for addiction; for the killings and torture and terror—for all of it that ever had been or all that ever would be enacted upon this earth." Elder Boyd K. Packer, "Atonement, Agency, Accountability" April 1988 General Conference

Position Statement
We are here on this Earth to learn and develop into someone like our Savior Jesus Christ. As I look back on my life, I know I am not perfect and the Atonement helps me realize that I can become better each day. But, there is also another way we can exercise the Atonement. That is by forgiving others. In my life, I know there are moments where it is hard to forgive someone. But, it is important to us the power of forgiveness to see that person that way Christ would see them. It might seem hard, but that is another way that we can practice the atonement.
